SignedLower right signed cursive signature, in pencil: "Epstein"
InscribedIn pencil in LL of cardboard backing "KAYE/ 1 (in a circle) Chaim Gross (underlined)" . There are also several words and numbers written in black felt marker along the back inside edge of the upper frame rail but they are partially obscured by the backing.
MarkingsPrinted paper label, black on white, on upper back of corrugated cardboard backing: "K"(large stylized logo letter) followed by "robert m. kulicke, inc. · framemakers · new york city" all in sans serif lower case letters.
DescriptionA pencil sketch of a reclining nude woman with eyes closed. The figure is shown in about 3/4 length, with the drawing ending at mid-thigh. She has long dark hair. Her head is on a pillow, her arms are crossed on her stomach.

Mahogany frame, narrow, simple double bevel, natural finish. Linen covered outer mat, elaborate inner mat with multiple hand-drawn inked lines sandwiching a gold leaf stripe.
