DescriptionDouble-sided sheet. Recto is the title page for Ambroise Vollard's "Reincarnations du Père Ubu" with an image of a snake charmer and a publication date of 1931. The verso image is a dancing female.All the text on the title page is printed in upper case block letters, above the image on the page is: "AMBROISE VOLLARD/RÉINCARNATIONS/DU PÈRE UBU/EAUX-FORTES ORIGINALES ET BOIS DESSINÉS PAR/GEORGES ROUAULT; below the image is: "AMBROISE VOLLARD. ÉDITEUR/28, RUE DI MARTIGNAC, 28/PARIS/M CM XXX1" Between the text elements is a plate with a seated figure playing a pipe and facing a large snake with long curling tongue
The verso image is of a nude female dancing with knees bent, her left leg and arms raised. Although the figure appears to be in a landscape there are stage-like elements framing the image with a scalloped valance at the top and a horizontal grid at the bottom. Similar grids appear in different locations on the edges of in both 2008.3.11 and .12
