DescriptionBlack line print of a nude woman. In a nondescript, empty environment, a woman sits with her back to the viewer. Fabric is loosely wrapped around her waist, and dips to expose her whole back. The woman turns to look at the viewer over her proper left shoulder. She stares out with a blank expression on her face. Her hair is pinned up and tucked underneath the cap she wears. Her proper left arm extends down to rest on the top of her leg while her right arm crosses in front of her body and her right hand touches her upper left arm. Next to where her right hand touches her left arm, the side of her left breast can be seen. At the center of the upper and lower borders of the print, black dots mark the middle.Exhibition History"French Prints from the Tobin Sparling Collection," The Hyde Collection, Hoopes Gallery, Feb. 14-July 26, 2026.ProvenanceFerdinand Roten Galleries, Baltimore, Maryland.
