DescriptionPrint of a portrait of painter Camille Roqueplan. The print is in black and white. Roqueplan sits in the center of the print staring directly at the viewer, with his arms draped over the couch/cushions he is sitting on, and his legs extended out in front of him (past the knee is cut off). His face, neck, and the top of his suit are done in a hyper realistic style, with shading and highlights. As you continue down, the rest of his body and the surface he is sitting on are created with loose sketch marks that give form but not detail. He is wearing a classic 1820s men's suit. The exact environment he is in is unknown and even the furniture he is sitting on is not defined enough to give an idea.

To the right of Camille's head in pencil/charcoal: "Camille Roqueplan" (underlined)
To the left of Camille's knee: "Litho: de Ch: Molle."
