DescriptionAn enlarged cartoon or comic book image of an aging Atlas. A nude male figure holds a globe on his shoulders inside a semi-circle of columns. The column at the far right has the letters "ATLAS" placed vertically above it with small. black shading marks making it apppear to wobble. The haggard, stubbly figure of Atlast is balding with a white fringe, he is undernourished and has a bandage on his right wrist and a band-aid on his left knee. The globe is printed with and surrounded by words and phrases in English and French related to sales and spending such as "Money back guarantee!," and "Sensible prices." Similar words appear along the bottom of the image. The columns are cracked and the one at far left has an empty can sitting atop it.Colored screenprint with large Ben-Day dot shading in the traditional cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Received from the donor unframed.
