SignedLL. "Feininger" black ink, printed in upper and lower case letters
InscribedLR in black ink "24 VI [?] 47" possibly 24 June, 1947?
DescriptionDrawn with fine black ink lines that have what appears to be a deliberate broken-line effect. There are rectilinear assemblages of lines at the right that probably indicate buildings on a coastline, possibly the lightkeeper's house. To the left of the upper center of the image are three long vertical lines with others atop it, this may be the lighthouse of the title.

The watercolor in blue, and blue-black is feathered out and seems to indicate a thick fog. It has a northern lights/ aurora borealis-like effect.

Frame of the period. Worm-holed oak rubbed with a grey stain or paint reminiscent of driftwood. Half-round molded fore-edge and beveled outward from front to back.
