DescriptionFrom the series of lithographs published in "Itinéraire Pittoresque du Fleuve Hudson et des Parties Laterales de L'Amérique du Nord" after originals by Milbert. 1988.10.3 in the Hyde Collection is an intact folio of these plates. This print was probably removed from a bound folio sometime after publication. Research has not found that Millbert's images were printed and released separate from the bound editionsThe original plates were printed on a lightweight paper and subsequently mounted to a heavier paper (chine collee?) for binding .
