DescriptionProbably intended as garden or outdoor sculpture. Life-sized figure of a boy with hat held in upraised left arm as if to conceal his face. Heel of right foot raised and braced back against a tree trunk pedestal with an urn on top. The urn is a separate, removable element with handles in the form of an oak branch and leaves with a squirrel forming the upper curve of the handle.Per Wallace (see NOTES), made as a companion to "Hide and Seek, Whoop!" which is a related figure of a girl, see 1992.4.34.ProvenanceGlens Falls, NY, Charles R.
