[1] Hyde curator Jonathan Canning contacted the curator of the Princely Collection of Lichtenstein and learned that the Princely Collection sold 573 Dutch and Flemish engravings to P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., Ltd. in 1949
[2] According to a letter from William P. Dow to Jonathan Canning, dated January 16, 2018, Mr. Dow’s father, Wilbur Dow, brought the work “over from England, later 1940’s”
