DescriptionCast bronze base in the form of overlapping waterlily leaves and buds, which give the lamp it's name. The base has some green patination on the edges and in deeper areas of the casting and is very vivid on the underside. From the center of the base twelve hollow stems of different lengths extend upward then arch back down with each terminating in an iridescent "Favrile" glass shade. The trumpet shape of the shades is more closely related to what have been termed 'field lilies' (day lilies? Easter lilies?) or to morning glories or squash blossoms. The base is stamped with model number 382 which is the new numerical designation given this lamp model in about 1903. The twelve-light lily lamp had been in production since 1899, but with a different model number.Exhibition History"What's New?
