SignedLR, etched in the image area, artist's monogram in block form; block capital letter "A" inside the curve of a block capital "C" followed by a reversed block capital letter "F" (presumably for fecit).
InscribedLR, etched in the plate outside the image border: "Geneve 1838 No7". DescriptionLandscape with with a right at the left, three cows drink from it while a small figure stands on the banking to the left. Two large trees on the right bank dominate the background with smaller trees and low hills beyond and to the left.
