DescriptionNeck-length frontal portrait of a man with angular features, wearing white shirt and blue bow tie.

The background a semi-opaque white over green over light brown washes. The face is built up of shades of brown on a tan ground with red-brown for highlights on the cheeks and lips. Slightly shiny, jagged black lines outline the head and all its features after all the paint layers are done. Pencil underdrawing visible near the lips and in the hair.ProvenanceCollection of Jane S.
