DescriptionFive separate drawings of an abstracted skeletal torso on a base. One piece of wove paper in two leaves,a deep fold at center separates four 4 smaller drawings on the left from the single, larger one on the right. This appears to be a preparatory sketch for the bronze sculpture titled "Explorer I" dated 1960 and illustrated on Roszak's website. It also relates to a sheet of drawings titled "Rite of Passage" and illustrated in the section on his work from the 1950's, also on the website.ProvenanceNew York, NY, Jane S. Murray
