SignedIn pencil LR just outside image area with date "20"
MarkingsStamped just below LL of image area in black ink:"Editions/Moly Sabata" ["Moly Sabata" is a rural French artists commune/retreat established by Albert Gleizes and now supported by his foundation.] One of his pupils/followers at Moly Sabata, Jacqueline Loyer, did these pochoirs after a 1920 gouache by Gleizes, hence the "20" is inscribed in the LR.
DescriptionCubist composition with two figures. Stenciled in strong colors of gold, brown, grey, blue and white with soft pink-red accents. Registration marks visible in the UR and LL corners of the image. Probably stenciled for Gleizes by Robert Pouyaud and/or Anne Dangar at Moly-Sabata, the artists commune created by Gleizes.ProvenanceNew York, NY, Jane S.
