Signed"JOHN ROGERS/NEW YORK" intaglio printing in sans serif capitals on the left top of the base.
Inscribed"THE ELDER'S DAUGHTER" intaglio printing sans serif block capitals on the front face of the base
Markings"91" in pencil on the back, refers to box number according to Lubus appraisal. No patent marking although it was patented in February of 1887, but on sale before Christmas of 1886 (per Wallace, see NOTES).
