DescriptionA angel standing at the center of three figures with wings spread wide, in the left hand holding up a palm branch that arcs above the figure's head and in the right hand holding a crown slightly below waist height and out away from the body and just above the head of the seated figure at the left. This figure turns to look up at the angel while the seated figure on the right turns away from the viewer while holdng up another palm branch in his right hand. All three figures stand on an arc that indicates the vaulting of the cathedral.

The angel represents St. Justina, who is described as "co-patron" of Piacenza. The cathedral houses relics of the saint and her attributes include a palm branch and crown.
