DescriptionSeparate, upholstered back and seat. The cartouche-shaped back enframed in walnut, its crest carved with a central flower repeated at the center of the front seat rail. The arms have upholstered elbow pads and repeat the serpentine form of the arm supports and legs. Upholstered 3/4's over the rail, with the lower seat rail molded in a double-serpentine and centered by floral carving. Cabriole legs with flower-carved knees end in leaf-capped feet. Polychrome needlework upholstery (probably not original), the back with a scene depicting two women on either side of a tree; the seat depicting exotic birds amidst foliage.
