John Hampshire (Born 1971, Chicago, IL). BS from Skidmore college ‘94, MFA SUNY Albany ’97. Recent awards include 2011 NYFA Fellowship in Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts, SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creativity, and the Dr. Arthus C. Collins ’48 Purchase Award, University at Albany Alumni Association . John is Associate Professor of Art at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, NY and lives and maintains his studio in a former church in Troy, NY with his wife and 4 dachshunds.
