DescriptionSculpture composed of two blades that taper to points at one end. The wider ends are weighted. The blades are triangular and made of three sheets of metal welded together. Blades attach to a metal post. Metal base is rectangular with holes in each corner for mounting. This early work by Rickey is engineered to move in response to air currents and both the blades and the top of the post are kinetic.Exhibition HistoryGeorge Rickey: Kinetic Sculpture, October 20-November 7, 1964, Staempfli Gallery, New York, NY.
