InscribedIn pencil next to the signature is wrtten on each piece an "R" number (all starting with 5) and then "Stockholm" The R may relate to the ripping done to create the work, but there are many other works in LeWitt's so-called $100 Drawings series that are not ripped but have R numbers.

DescriptionThe actual objects are the shapes torn from brown paper. Presented in nine separate frames numbered 1988.12.1 to 1988.12.9. Each of the nine torn paper objects in this series has its own "R" number, 1988.12.1 is "R 524".
